The San Francisco Fire Department does not install or provide inspections of Child Safety Seats. However, if you require assistance with the installation of a Child Safety Seat in your vehicle, please contact the following local agencies.

To schedule an appointment for a Child Car Seat installation, fitting and/or inspection, please contact the SFPD by calling their Child Passenger Safety Hotline at:

Installations and fittings will be conducted at one of the ten SFPD district police stations.

California Highway Patrol
The California Highway Patrol also conducts Child Car Seat installations, fittings and inspections.
