Deputy Chief of Operations, Patrick T. Gardner, is a 29 year veteran of the San Francisco Fire Department. A native San Franciscan and a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, Chief Gardner has worked his way up the ranks, serving the department as a Firefighter, Chief’s Operator, Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief, and was appointed Deputy Chief of Operations in September 2008.
Fifteen years of his career have proudly been served as a member and officer of Rescue Squad 1. He has also served the Fire Department as the Dive Master for Water Search & Rescue Teams, a Hazardous Materials Specialist, and an instructor for Rescue Systems 1, Rescue Systems 2, Confined Space Rescue and Trench Rescue Operations.
