The San Francisco Fire Department provides members of the public access to Department public records as permitted by the San Francisco Sunshine Ordinance and the California Public Records Act.
Fire Inspection/Violation Records
Requests to review or receive copies of inspection, fire code violation, and permit records for a property within San Francisco should be directed to the Bureau of Fire Prevention- File Research.
Fire Department Public Records
All other requests should be directed to the Public Records Officer. To submit your request, please use our Public Records Request Form.
